Assist in implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and standards at the plant.
Conduct regular safety inspections, safety walks and workplace observations under the guidance of the EHS Manager.
Support hazard identification and risk assessment activities and follow up on identified corrective actions.
Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment by employees and contractors.
Assist in incident / near-miss reporting and investigation and support implementation of corrective actions.
B. Environmental Management
Support monitoring of environmental parameters, waste disposal, water usage and pollution control systems.
Assist in monitoring ETP operations and maintaining relevant operational records.
Ensure proper segregation, storage and disposal of waste within the plant premises as per defined procedures.
Support compliance with applicable environmental requirements and standards.
Assist in maintaining records related to environmental monitoring and statutory requirements.
C. Health & Occupational Safety
Support implementation of occupational health and workplace hygiene practices.
Coordinate / assist in employee medical check-up and health surveillance activities.
Monitor workplace conditions relating to dust, fumes and other occupational hazards and report deviations.
Assist in maintaining occupational health and safety record.
D. Compliance & Legal
Assist in maintaining EHS statutory registers, records and compliance documentation.
Support compliance with applicable requirements under the Factories Act, Pollution Control Board norms, Hazardous Waste Management Rules and other applicable regulations.
Assist during internal, external and government EHS inspections / audits.
Follow up with concerned departments for closure of EHS audit observations.
